breakthrough brand core
website overhaul

THE BRIEF

Nicole came to us at a pivotal early stage in her business. With a background in events and bridal styling and a clear creative vision, she was ready to evolve from freelance planner to founder of Atelier Amarise a high-end wedding studio specialising in multicultural celebrations and fashion-forward bridal styling.

Her goal was to create a brand that felt bold yet refined, confident yet inclusive — a business that stood out from the sameness of the traditional wedding space and truly reflected her elevated, culturally rich aesthetic. She wanted her brand to act as a magnet for aligned, design-conscious clients who valued intentionality, collaboration, and artful detail.

Together, we set out to build a brand and website that would anchor her positioning in the industry, elevate her pricing, and give her the confidence to scale with clarity.

THE CHALLENGE

Attracting clients that didn’t align with her style or budget

Without a clear brand presence or messaging, Nicole was attracting clients whose expectations and budgets didn’t reflect the creative, high-touch experience she offers. She needed to reposition her brand to communicate the value and calibre of her services.

A brand identity that didn’t reflect her creative edge

Nicole felt the wedding industry was flooded with generic visuals and safe design. She wanted her brand to embody her own artistic sensibility colourful, modern, and culturally rich, while maintaining a feeling of timeless elegance.

Disjointed brand systems and lack of clarity in her growth strategy

With only a year of freelancing under her belt, Nicole was ready to formalise her processes, define her brand voice, and align her visual identity with her long-term goals, but lacked the structure to do so with intention.

STRATEGY

From the beginning, it was clear this project was about building more than just a beautiful brand it was about future-proofing Nicole’s business. She wasn’t looking for a logo and website to reflect where she was she needed a brand that matched where she was going.

Our goal was to create a visual and strategic foundation that could grow with her, giving her the credibility to scale beyond intimate weddings into larger-scale events, editorial styling, and even brand experiences.

We focused on repositioning her as a creative director and founder of a studio, not just a freelance planner so she could confidently step into bigger opportunities. This led to a pivotal shift: evolving the brand from her personal name to Atelier Amarise.

Throughout our strategy work, we intentionally avoided tying the brand too tightly to weddings alone. Instead, we rooted it in core themes that could carry through to multiple audiences: design-led storytelling, cultural richness, quiet luxury, and collaborative creativity.

DESIGN

The visual identity needed to feel artistic yet grounded, a brand that would stand out in the luxury wedding market while staying true to Nicole’s multicultural and modern influences. We developed a handcrafted, logo system, custom illustrations inspired by vintage lace, and a rich, warm colour palette that blended heritage and modernity.

From elegant layouts to expressive details, the brand captured the essence of quiet confidence. The website was built to guide users through her full-service offerings, showcase her portfolio in a cinematic way, and communicate trust through intentional design and thoughtful UX. We also built a flexible visual system Nicole could carry through to styling guides, client documents, and content creation.

THE RESULTS

A website that truly embodies her expertise and positions her as a leader

“I finally feel the website represents what we have to offer and carries the same in-person confidence that I have when promoting my mission. From my perspective, I won’t hold back from sharing my website when meeting new contacts and I know that it will do an amazing job of moving clients from consideration into conversation.”

A strategic foundation that strengthens her brand and simplifies sales

"The website now does the heavy lifting, clearly communicating the value and impact of our work. By the time potential clients reach out, they’re already aligned with our offering and that’s entirely due to the strategy, thought, and care that went into creating a site that truly reflects who we are and what we deliver."

Renewed confidence to scale and focus on growth

"Since working together, it has allowed me to focus less on selling the business and more on being present, scaling and creating space for myself to thrive. I’m no longer consumed by the thought that I could have a better website as I think it does everything I need and more."

“I came to Maybe Design because I was ready to take a more intentional step forward with my brand and online presence. I was drawn to Hannah’s ability to pair beautiful design with thoughtful brand strategy.”

“From the start, she had a strong intuitive sense of where I wanted to go, even when I hadn’t fully put it into words. Her strategic thinking helped bring clarity to the brand direction, and the process felt purposeful and well-considered.

The final result feels like a solid first step toward the direction I want to take my business. While I know my brand will continue to evolve, this gives me a foundation I can confidently build on. I’m grateful for Hannah’s creative leadership, intuition, and strategic perspective throughout.”
